NDP NEWSLETTER APRIL 1, 2024

Hi There,

Welcome to our new monthly NDP newsletter. We will try to send one out at the beginning of every month to keep you informed and connected.

Local news:

We are happy to announce that have a new executive. Tanis Brown is our President. Louise Mignault is our new Vice President and Jennifer Keays is our new Secretary and Treasurer.

Born and raised in eastern Ontario, Tanis is the oldest of 4 kids. She became involved with the local NDP while on a political action secondment with the ONA in 2022 from her position as a public health nurse.  She met 2022 NDP candidate Wendy Stephen when reaching out to local candidates to advocate for policy improvements in the healthcare sector.  Following the election Tanis was invited to attend the September AGM where she was acclaimed in the president role.

She currently teaches nursing at St. Lawrence College. Nursing is a caring profession that values the principles of social justice.  The NDP platform aligns with these attributes.
